La Robleda Natural Protected Area

La Robleda Natural Protected Area is a forest reserve in the mountains of Cayey, featuring dense woodland with pink manjack trees and numerous plant species throughout. The terrain hosts various bird and reptile populations in their natural forest setting.

The area became a protected reserve in 1988 through Puerto Rico's Law 150, establishing it as part of the island's conservation system. This protection ensured the preservation of the mountain forest and its wildlife for future generations.

The reserve serves as a gateway for nature lovers to experience the island's mountain forest ecosystem up close. It represents an important place where people connect with Puerto Rico's natural heritage through direct observation and exploration.
