Church of the Apostles, Anglican cathedral in Columbia, United States.
The Church of the Apostles is an Anglican cathedral in Columbia that features modern colonial architecture with white-painted brick walls. The building follows a cruciform layout and accommodates approximately 450 people inside.
The cathedral was founded in 2003 as part of an Anglican realignment and initially met at the South Carolina State Museum. In 2011, the congregation acquired the building where it stands today.
The cathedral practices Anglican traditions through regular services and offers theological education for its members. Community life shapes how visitors experience the space, where people gather to worship and connect with one another.
The cathedral opens for weekly services, mainly on Sunday mornings and at other times during the week. Some events are available online as well, making it possible to participate from home.
Inside stands a pipe organ built in 1927 by Möller that still accompanies services today. The congregation also runs a special program to train new clergy over a two-year period.
