Pullman City Harz, Western theme park in Oberharz am Brocken, Germany.
Pullman City Harz is a Western theme park in the Harz region of central Germany, built around a reconstructed 19th-century American frontier town. The grounds include wooden saloons, a sheriff's office, a hotel, and ranch buildings arranged along a central main street.
The park opened in 2000, built from scratch on a forested plot in the Harz mountains. Every building on the site was constructed specifically to recreate the look of a frontier settlement, with no existing structures to build on.
The park brings frontier life to visitors through live shows, riding displays, and craft demonstrations that take place throughout the day. Costumed performers walk the wooden streets, making the setting feel in use rather than just on display.
The park operates mainly in summer, with some openings on select weekends in spring and autumn, so it is worth checking before visiting. The grounds cover a large area, so comfortable shoes and enough time to walk through everything are a good idea.
Guests can spend the night inside the park itself, staying in the Grand Silver Star Hotel or in ranch houses on the grounds. This means being on-site after the day visitors leave, when the wooden streets are empty and the setting feels very different.
