Santa Maria del Gonfalone, Catholic church in historic center of Fano, Italy.
The building features a brick façade with a white stone base, containing a limestone portal topped by a curved broken pediment and a splayed window.
The Confraternity of Gonfalone constructed the church at the beginning of the 1600s on a prior structure, known before 1589 as Santa Maria della Carità.
The wooden ceiling from 1606 displays octagonal panels crafted by Matteo Carloni from Mondolfo, with a central medallion depicting Santa Maria della Carità.
The church, located on Via Rinalducci, now operates as a cinema and theater space following its deconsecration during the twentieth century.
The Confraternity of Gonfalone, composed of noble families from Fano, provided social assistance to elderly women and children through this establishment.
