Tombstones of Duke Momčilo, Medieval tombstones near Teslić, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Three stone monuments stand on the southwestern side of Stražbenica hill in Brkića Potok, displaying traditional medieval carving techniques and patterns.
The tombstones emerged during the period between the 12th and 16th centuries when stećci monuments marked graves across the Balkan region.
Local residents maintain stories about these monuments belonging to Duke Momčilo, his spouse, and their child, though no historical records confirm this attribution.
The tombstones remain accessible to visitors at coordinates 44°34'45"N 17°53'56"E, located 5 kilometers southeast of central Teslić.
These monuments represent part of the 60,000 stećci scattered throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, connecting medieval burial practices with local folklore.
