The Esso Birmingham Terminal is a fuel storage facility in Erdington with multiple large tanks for regional supply. The site sits next to Fort Shopping Park and operates daily to distribute fuel across the area.
The facility was founded in 1962 and initially served the region through both rail and road connections. Over time, rail transport became less central to operations until the line beneath Fort Parkway eventually stopped running.
