Le Grand Point-Virgule

Le Grand Point Virgule is a comedy theatre in Montparnasse with two distinct performance spaces, the Salle Apostrophe and Salle Majuscule, both located on rue de l'Arrivée. Each room serves different show formats and audience capacities.

The theatre opened in October 2012 as a continuation of the legacy started by its predecessor Point Virgule. This new venue was created to expand and sustain comedy performances in the Montparnasse area.

The venue nurtures comedy talent ranging from improvisational evenings to one-person shows and musical performances. The layout encourages direct interaction between performers and spectators, making each show a shared experience rather than a passive viewing.

A bar on the premises opens before and after each show, providing a space to mingle with performers and other theatre-goers. This makes it easy to extend your evening before or after catching a performance.

The Salle Apostrophe features bench seating rather than individual chairs, placing performers and audiences remarkably close together. This unusual setup creates an intimate setting that sets this space apart from conventional theatres.
