Zinda Park, Public park in Narayanganj District, Bangladesh.
Zinda Park is a large park in Narayanganj filled with thousands of trees from different species and several water reservoirs that cover a significant portion of the total area. Throughout the grounds, visitors find flower gardens, cottages, schools, mosques, and tree houses scattered across the landscape.
The park was founded in the 1980s as Shantikanan and started as a wooded area with recreational facilities. Decades later, a local organization took over management and expanded it into what it is today.
The space hosts music performances and dance shows throughout the year, drawing families and groups who gather for celebrations. Special occasions like the birthday of poet Kazi Nazrul Islam are marked with live performances and community gatherings.
The park is fairly easy to access with well-developed pathways for exploring, though it can be quite sunny during hot weather. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and plan for a leisurely walk to see the different sections and planted areas.
The site blends green space with social care by functioning as a meeting point for various community groups and local organizations. This dual-purpose approach makes it more than just a leisure destination, serving deeper community needs.
