The Dhaka Stock Exchange is a stock exchange in Nikunja, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It occupies a multi-story tower where traders and brokers work on several floors equipped with dedicated computer systems every trading day.
The institution was created in 1954 to respond to growing securities trading after the partition of the Indian subcontinent. In the 1990s it shifted from an open outcry floor to digital trading systems.
The exchange conducts educational programs through its Training Academy to increase financial literacy and investment knowledge among Bangladesh residents.
