BGMEA Complex, Trade organization headquarters in Uttara, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The BGMEA Complex comprises two tall office buildings in northern Dhaka that serve as the headquarters for Bangladesh's garment trade organization. Inside you will find an exhibition center, an auditorium with seating for approximately 750 people, seminar rooms, and multiple office spaces for industry professionals.
The original BGMEA building opened in 2006 at a location in Hatirjheel but had to be moved due to legal issues with the site. The complex relocated to its current location in northern Dhaka in 2019 to continue its operations.
The complex serves as a meeting point for people working in Bangladesh's garment and textile industry. It represents an important part of the country's economic identity and brings together professionals from across the sector.
The location offers convenient access to Dhaka's main airport by car, making it easy to reach if you are flying in or out. Plan your visit for weekday mornings when exhibitions and events tend to be less crowded.
Inside the complex sits the Textile Technology Business Center, a specialized hub for innovation and business development within the garment sector. A digital plenary hall also carries the name of Subid Ali, the organization's first president.
