Pan Pacific Sonargaon

Pan Pacific Sonargaon is a luxury hotel occupying 8 acres in central Dhaka with contemporary architecture by Hawaiian architect Peter Hsi. The property includes extensive facilities for dining, conferences, and recreation spread across its landscaped grounds.

Construction began in 1977 with funding from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, and the hotel opened in 1981. This timing made it one of the first modern luxury hotels in Dhaka during a period of urban development.

The interior design weaves in Bangladeshi craftsmanship and artistic traditions throughout its spaces. This approach creates a bridge between global hospitality standards and local visual identity.

The hotel is located next to an MRT station, providing direct access to public transportation. Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport can be reached in around 15 minutes via the Elevated Expressway.

The complex houses six distinct dining venues, each with its own culinary approach and atmosphere. Guests can enjoy both a rectangular swimming pool and a separate semi-circular wading pool.
