The Schiffergesellschaft is a restaurant housed in a Renaissance building with maritime exhibits and historical paintings. Inside, several dining halls feature carved wooden ships and nautical decorations that evoke the Hanseatic era.
The brotherhood was founded in 1401 to support seafarers and moved to this building in 1535. The original guild hall was transformed into a public restaurant in 1868.

The building is easily accessible from the street and offers a large dining hall on the ground floor with additional rooms on upper levels. Visitors should know that multiple floors are connected and some areas require stairs.
The restaurant displays a complete kayak from the early 1600s brought back from a Danish expedition to Greenland. Biblical scene paintings from 1624 also hang on the walls, showing how ships and religious art together shaped the interior.
