Gypsy Kitchen
Gypsy Kitchen is a restaurant located on the second floor of Buckhead Village District in Atlanta that offers Spanish-inspired tapas and larger sharing dishes from various Mediterranean and North African cuisines. The interior features colorful Moroccan tiles, glowing lanterns, and green plants, while a rooftop patio offers views of the city skyline and surrounding trees.
The restaurant is led by Chef David Yamaguchi, who has worked in award-winning establishments and brings passionate, soulful cooking to the kitchen. The concept draws on traditional cooking techniques from multiple Mediterranean and North African countries, creating a culinary fusion with bold flavor profiles.
The restaurant was designed by New York-based firm Lacina Heitler with Baroque inspiration, featuring warm colors and copper accents throughout the space. The kitchen combines flavors from Spain, Greece, Lebanon, Morocco, and Israel, which comes through in the shared plates and creates a dining culture that blends Mediterranean and North African traditions.
Located at the corner of Buckhead Avenue and Peachtree Road, the restaurant offers valet and self-parking options nearby, with validation for a couple of hours in the adjacent parking deck. It opens late morning for brunch, serves dinner into the late evening, and provides flexible spaces for small gatherings or large celebrations with reservation options available.
A large bronze sculpture of a bull sits in the center of the restaurant as a striking focal point that references Spanish tradition and serves as a visual anchor. Craft cocktails feature house-made infusions like saffron gin prepared on site, adding a personal touch to the culinary experience.
