Nómada
Nómada is a restaurant in the Avenidas Novas district of Lisbon that combines Japanese fusion dishes with European and Portuguese flavors. Chef Francisco Bessone works with seasonal ingredients and draws from different culinary traditions worldwide, while the interior features minimalist design and decor inspired by Japanese symbols, creating a modern and welcoming setting.
The restaurant was founded by people who previously worked at a well-known sushi restaurant in Almada and brought their experience with Japanese cooking technique with them. These roots shape its cooking style, combined with a continuing exploration of new flavor combinations and creative dishes.
The restaurant draws its name from the concept of a nomad, symbolizing travel and exploration of new places. This spirit shows in how the space invites guests to discover flavors and culinary traditions from different cultures.
The restaurant is located near the metro stations Campo Pequeno and Saldanha and is easy to reach by public transport. It is open for lunch and dinner daily except Sunday, and offers both dine-in service and takeaway options.
The interior decor is inspired by an artwork called Asase that depicts swimming fish and symbolizes movement. The ceiling features panels that resemble traditional Japanese linen screens, giving the space a connection to Japanese craftsmanship.
