Shinagawa Prince Hotel Main Tower
The Shinagawa Prince Hotel Main Tower is a large hotel building in Minato City with more than three thousand five hundred rooms and numerous restaurants, banquet halls, and entertainment areas. The building also houses a cinema and bowling center and is connected to the adjacent Annex Tower, which offers additional attractions like the Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa featuring pools and shows.
The hotel was built as part of the development of the Shinagawa area into a modern transportation hub following the opening of the Shinkansen line in the 1960s. The building grew alongside the station to become a central destination for travelers and significantly contributed to the transformation of the Takanawa district.
The hotel's name reflects its location in the Takanawa district, a historic business area of Tokyo. The building and surrounding area show how this neighborhood has transformed from a traditional residential zone into a modern center for travelers and business professionals.
The hotel sits two minutes walking distance from Shinagawa Station, one of Tokyo's largest train hubs, with direct access to the Shinkansen and local train lines. Parking is not available, so arriving by train or on foot is recommended, with staff available to help with public transportation guidance.
Some rooms on the upper floors are designed for younger travelers and called Millennial Rooms, featuring stylish wallpaper and large windows overlooking Tokyo's nighttime skyline. On clear days, guests can also see Mount Fuji, the Rainbow Bridge, and Tokyo Tower from certain rooms.
