Hotel Aranzazú
Hotel Aranzazú is a multi-story hotel on Avenida Revolución in the center of Guadalajara, within walking distance of the historic downtown area. The building has guest rooms with air conditioning and private bathrooms, along with shared spaces such as a swimming pool, a fitness area, and meeting rooms.
The hotel was built in the second half of the 20th century, as Guadalajara was growing fast and attracting more business travelers and tourists. It was one of the first large hotels to open in the city center and has remained in operation since then.
The name Aranzazú comes from a well-known Marian shrine in the Basque Country in Spain, reflecting the deep colonial ties between Guadalajara and Spanish culture. Walking around the surrounding streets, guests can still see this layered heritage in the old facades and local religious imagery nearby.
The hotel sits in the city center, so many sights, restaurants, and public transport options are within walking distance. Guests who arrive by car can use the on-site parking, which is a practical advantage in this busy part of town.
The hotel has over 20 banquet halls, making it one of the largest event venues in the city center for weddings and conferences. Many visitors are unaware that a large share of daily activity inside the building comes from event guests rather than overnight stays.
