Merrion Hotel
Merrion Hotel is a five-star property in central Dublin built from four Georgian townhouses combined into one luxurious residence. It contains 142 rooms and suites, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant, a swimming pool, spa facilities, and multiple dining and drinking venues.
The building dates to 1756 as four separate Georgian townhouses positioned across from what would later become Ireland's Government Buildings. These houses were progressively joined and restored over time, with a contemporary wing added while preserving the original architectural character.
The hotel takes its name from Merrion Street, a significant address in Dublin's Georgian quarter. Rooms and public spaces display Irish art and antique furnishings that reflect the city's cultural identity and local craftsmanship.
The property is within walking distance of galleries, museums, and shopping streets like Grafton Street, making the area easy to explore on foot. Wide pavements throughout the neighborhood allow comfortable strolling with minimal urban noise and congestion.
The property runs on 100 percent renewable electricity with smart heating systems and LED lighting to reduce energy consumption. This combines luxury accommodation with environmental responsibility, offering guests a sustainable stay without compromising quality.
