Murtoli Golf Links, Golf course in Sartène, France
Murtoli Golf Links spreads across a large estate and incorporates natural elements such as beaches, dunes, forests, and mountains into its layout. Seven different course combinations allow players to choose from lengths ranging between approximately 1,500 and 3,000 meters.
The course opened in 2013 on a former hunting estate with roots reaching back centuries. Historic buildings including shepherd cottages from the 17th century were renovated to serve as lodging.
The layout draws inspiration from Scottish golf traditions while incorporating Corsican elements like olive groves and Mediterranean plants into the design. This blend reflects how the place honors both golfing heritage and the local landscape.
The property is designed for walking, and golf carts are not needed, which allows for a traditional playing experience. The grounds are open from early morning until dusk, with hours varying by season.
Twelve holes feature double greens that create multiple playing options without redesigning the course. This clever design gives players different configurations each time they visit.
