Praia da Malhada

Praia da Malhada is a beach near Jericoacoara situated along the coast with Serrote Hill rising in the background. The shore features sandy areas mixed with rock formations that extend toward the water's edge.

The beach formed as a natural continuation of Jericoacoara's coastline and preserved its original character over many decades. Commercial development never transformed the area, allowing it to remain largely undeveloped.

The beach has no facilities or vendors, so visitors should bring their own water, food, sun protection, and seating. It is helpful to check the tidal patterns to take advantage of natural rock pools that form along the shore.

When the tide goes out, small natural pools form between the rocks in shallow water where visitors can rest. These rock pools vary in size depending on the tidal cycle and offer a refreshing pause from the open ocean.
