IBC Taman Alam Lumbini

IBC Taman Alam Lumbini is a temple situated in a natural park near Berastagi, Indonesia, featuring a gold-plated main pagoda surrounded by smaller devotional structures. The entire complex displays intricate Burmese architectural craftsmanship and design principles.

Construction of the temple took place between 2007 and 2010, establishing it as a recent yet significant religious structure in the region. Its completion marked a growing presence of Burmese-inspired Buddhism in Southeast Asia.

The site blends Buddhist tradition with a natural setting where visitors can experience spiritual reflection. People come here both for meditation and to appreciate the architectural beauty that reflects Burmese religious design.

The temple is located 6 km west of Berastagi and is best reached by taxi or motorcycle. Visitors should allow enough time to walk through the different areas and appreciate the grounds at a relaxed pace.

The complex mirrors the exact layout of Myanmar's Shwedagon Pagoda and ranks among the largest structures of this architectural style outside Myanmar. This rarity makes it a distinctive example of Burmese design transplanted to Indonesia.
