The museum preserves items from the Whydah vessel, which started as a slave ship before pirates captured it in 1717 and sank near Cape Cod.
The museum exhibits dispel common misconceptions about piracy through archaeological evidence, historical records, and authenticated artifacts from the wreckage.
The facility operates from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM Sunday through Thursday, and until 6:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, with onsite parking available.
The conservation laboratory allows visitors to observe archaeologists examining and preserving newly discovered artifacts from the Atlantic Ocean floor.
