Raging Waves Waterpark

Raging Waves is a waterpark in Yorkville that spans roughly 45 acres and features multiple water slides of varying intensity, a wave pool, and a quarter-mile lazy river. The park is organized into different zones designed for visitors of various ages.

The park was established and grew to become a major tourism destination for the state. It became the largest waterpark in Illinois and shaped the recreational landscape of the region.

The park incorporates Australian themes throughout its attractions, naming water slides and play areas after indigenous animals and landmarks from the continent. Visitors experience this design choice while moving between different sections of the park.

Visitors can rent lockers for their belongings and reserve private cabanas for groups. Multiple dining and refreshment locations are spread throughout the park grounds.

The Aussie Mat Dash features a six-lane slide system that exists in only three locations worldwide. This rare installation draws water park enthusiasts who seek out this specific attraction.
