One Liberty Observation Deck, Observation deck in downtown Philadelphia, United States
The One Liberty Observation Deck occupies the 57th floor of One Liberty Place at 883 feet (269 meters) high, providing 360-degree views across Philadelphia's skyline, the Delaware River, and into neighboring New Jersey and Delaware, covering approximately 100 miles (160 kilometers) of urban and regional landscape.
Opened in November 2015 as part of Philadelphia's effort to expand tourism infrastructure, the observation deck was created within the tallest skyscraper in the city at that time and remained operational until September 2021, offering visitors a modern high-altitude perspective of the historic downtown core.
The deck featured a prominent sculpture of Benjamin Franklin that stretched from the ticketing area to the top of the tower, along with interactive touch screens and listening stations that provided historical context about Philadelphia's founding figures, architectural landmarks, and urban development over more than two centuries.
Located at 1650 Market Street in the Penn Center commercial district, the deck was accessible daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with adult admission priced at approximately $14.50 and children ages three to eleven at $9.50, with group discounts and family passes available for purchase online or at the entrance.
Operated by Montparnasse 56, a Paris-based company that manages observation decks internationally, the facility offered complimentary guided tours called Philly From The Top seven days a week, combining panoramic city viewing with narrated insights into Philadelphia's history, architecture, and regional geography from a single elevated location.
