Atlas Caballito, Shopping center and movie theater in Caballito district, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Atlas Caballito is a shopping and cinema complex in the Caballito district of Buenos Aires, Argentina, spread across six floors and housing nine movie screens alongside retail stores and a food court. Elevators and escalators connect all levels, making it straightforward to move between the shopping and entertainment areas.
The complex opened on December 7, 2005, designed by the Bodas-Miani-Anger architecture studio. It was built and managed by Grupo Sutton Dabbah to bring a large-scale entertainment and retail venue to the Caballito neighborhood.
The complex is a regular meeting point for families and young people from Caballito who come to watch a film or simply walk around the shops. The food court area tends to fill up on weekends, giving it the feel of a neighborhood social hub.
The building has three underground parking levels that are accessible throughout the day, which makes arriving by car straightforward. If you plan to shop and watch a film, allow extra time since the complex covers several floors and there is a lot to explore.
The concrete facade features an abstract pattern with a central glass strip that frames a direct view toward Rivadavia Avenue from inside the building. This vertical glass element is clearly visible from the street and sets the building apart from the surrounding facades.
