The Catalan community in Argentina donated this sculpture to Buenos Aires, and it was inaugurated on July 19, 1931.
The statue, created by Josep Llimona i Bruguera, reflects the early 20th-century artistic movement and commemorates the centennial celebration.
Visitors can find this monument in Parque Rivadavia, alongside other sculptures such as the Monument to Mothers and Simon Bolivar tribute.
The statue has moved several locations throughout its history before returning to its current position in Parque Rivadavia in 2009.
