Treloar Resource Centre, Military artifacts conservation center in Mitchell, Australia
The Treloar Resource Centre spans 15,500 square meters of storage space containing military equipment, aircraft, vehicles, boats, missiles, and artillery collections.
The facility opened in 1994, replacing the previous warehouse in Duntroon that had stored Australian War Memorial items since the 1950s.
The center preserves over 700,000 military objects, including the Lancaster bomber 'G for George' and numerous World War I artillery pieces.
The annual 'Big Things in Store' open day allows visitors to examine the extensive collection and learn about conservation methods.
The center maintains specialized conservation laboratories where experts work to preserve military artifacts dating back to the 1870s.
