Parc des Pyramides

Parc des Pyramides is a public park in Lille featuring sports facilities including a skate park, basketball court, and cycling track surrounded by green spaces. Water-themed design elements combined with pyramidal landscaping structures create distinct zones for different recreational activities.

The park underwent complete transformation between 2023 and 2024, incorporating new recreational facilities throughout the space. About 80 trees were planted during the winter months as part of this renovation effort.

Local residents shaped the park's design through participatory budgeting, with children having a say in which sports facilities were installed. This collaborative approach is visible in how different age groups use the space today.

The park is located near the Deûle river and features dedicated paths for pedestrians and cyclists with accessibility features for all visitors. Different sports zones are clearly laid out and easy to navigate.

The park features pyramidal landscaping structures that serve as natural dividers between sports zones while creating visual interest throughout the space. This geometric design approach organizes the different activity areas in an unexpected way that visitors quickly notice.
