Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center
Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center is a water facility in Chandler featuring multiple pools and water play zones designed for different age groups. It includes a lazy river with a waterfall bridge, two water slides, a family play pool with interactive water features, a spray pad, and an eight-lane competition pool with a diving board.
The facility was built to provide the community with a safe place for water activities. It received the Arizona Parks and Recreation 'Outstanding Facility' award in 2009 and was voted as runner-up for best kids' water park in the Arizona Republic Reader's Choice awards in 2010.
The center serves as a gathering place where local families spend their summers and children learn to swim together. It holds a meaningful role in the community's rhythm, offering a space where people of different ages can spend time together and create shared memories.
The center operates from late May through late fall following the school calendar. Arriving early or in late afternoon helps avoid crowds, and wearing water shoes is recommended since the ground becomes very hot in the sun.
A large interactive water feature periodically fills and dumps 725 gallons of water over swimmers in a sudden splash. The center partners with IBCCES to provide sensory guides for visitors with sensitivities, making it accessible to a wider range of guests.
