Playas del Veril

Playas del Veril is a beach area on Gran Canaria's southern coast that spreads across two separate bays divided by a breakwater with dark sand throughout. The water is relatively clear and invites swimmers in.

This coastal section was transformed into an organized beach during the second half of the 20th century through infrastructure work. That development turned it into a structured destination for the region.

The beach has separate areas where families and naturist visitors spend time side by side in their own zones. This arrangement reflects how the place accommodates different local lifestyles and social practices.

Visitors find showers, toilets, and a refreshment kiosk at the end of the second bay. A ramp for those with mobility needs makes access easier for everyone.

Its position between two rocky formations naturally protects the beach from strong ocean currents. This creates calm swimming conditions that swimmers particularly enjoy.
