Agios Spyridon Beach

Agios Spyridon Beach is a sand beach on northern Corfu with fine golden sand, framed by thick Mediterranean plants and limestone rocks on both sides. The shoreline curves gently, sloping gradually toward the water.

This beach takes its name from Saint Spyridon, an early Christian bishop of Trimythous who later became the patron saint of Corfu. The connection reflects centuries-old traditions that shaped the island's local identity.

Tavernas near the shore serve fresh seafood and traditional Greek food prepared by local cooks throughout the day. These casual eateries are where you see locals gathering, especially in the evenings and on weekends.

You can rent sun beds, umbrellas, and water sports gear, with parking and shower facilities available on site. Arrive early to secure a good spot, especially on warm weekends.

The beach borders the protected Antinioti Lagoon, a natural area where you can watch Mediterranean bird species in their habitat. This lagoon attracts migratory birds during certain seasons, making it a quiet spot for observation.
