Praia 37 extends along the Portuguese coast with wide stretches of sand and consistent waves meeting the shoreline throughout the year.
The beach earned its numerical name from Espinho's grid system implemented in the 1870s, when the town developed its organized street layout.
Local fishermen maintain traditional fishing practices at this beach, launching their boats directly from the sand as their ancestors did generations ago.
The beach maintains lifeguard services from June through September, with rental facilities for chairs, umbrellas, and water sports equipment.
The beach features a direct connection to Espinho's Municipal Museum through a dedicated pedestrian pathway decorated with maritime-themed tiles.
