Playa de los Molinos

Playa de los Molinos is a beach along the Valparaiso reservoir nestled in the Sierra de la Culebra mountains. The site offers sandy areas, shaded zones with oak trees, dining tables, and a restaurant-bar.

The beach was created after construction of the Valparaiso reservoir transformed the local landscape. This new body of water opened recreational possibilities in what had been a drier part of Zamora province.

The name refers to old mills that once operated in this area, reflecting the region's past industrial character. The surrounding village shows traditional rural architecture that visitors can observe while spending time here.

The site has parking areas and open picnic zones with tables for visitors. Water activities like kayaking and paddle surfing are available for those interested in more active recreation.

A walking trail leads from here to a neighboring beach through oak woodlands with reservoir views along the way. This natural path connects two swimming spots in a way many visitors do not initially expect.
