In 2006, multiple organizations including DCNR and Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission funded the acquisition of Avonia Beach to ensure public fishing access.
The Brugger House within the park serves as a community gathering space for celebrations, including graduation parties and wedding receptions throughout the year.
The beach remains open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with convenient parking facilities located just steps away from the water.
Trout Run meets Lake Erie at Avonia Beach, creating an exceptional location for steelhead trout fishing and beach glass collecting after storms.
