The beach has ample parking located nearby and is easy to reach on foot from the main entrance. Visitors should prepare for changing weather conditions and wear sturdy footwear on the mixed surface.

A stream called Trout Run flows directly into the lake at this spot, making it a special place for trout fishing. After storms, visitors can find smooth glass fragments washed up by the water.
