Playa Jobo

Playa Jobo is a beach in Guanacaste with light cocoa-colored sand surrounded by green hills that shelter the bay from strong winds. The shoreline features wide access points and clean water conditions that make it a calm spot for swimming.

This place grew from a small fishing village and transformed into a tourist destination with the opening of a large resort nearby. That change brought more visitors and infrastructure to the region.

The nearby restaurant serves freshly caught fish and traditional local dishes prepared using recipes passed down through generations. The meals combine ocean flavors with ingredients sourced from regional fishing communities.

The beach is easy to reach and has ample parking for visitors with cars. Restrooms and showers are located near the entrance, and the best time for swimming is before afternoon when winds pick up.

The location near Bahia Salinas makes this beach a popular spot for windsurfing and kitesurfing between November and March. The special weather patterns during those months create ideal conditions for these water sports.
