El Uverito

El Uverito is a sand beach on the Pacific coast featuring golden sand and shallow waters that stay warm year-round. The shoreline stretches for several kilometers with sunny areas and patches of shade from palm trees and coastal plants.

This coastal area developed from a small fishing settlement into a recreational destination, particularly from the 1980s onward as local residents began visiting more frequently. The transformation was tied to improved access and growing interest in coastal leisure activities.

The beach serves as a gathering place where local fishing communities and visitors share the space, with traditional maritime practices still visible in daily routines. This connection to the sea remains central to how people in the area live and interact with their environment.

The beach sits about 11 kilometers from Las Tablas city center and offers parking facilities along with basic amenities like restrooms and outdoor showers. The drier months provide the most comfortable visiting conditions, though the beach remains accessible and usable throughout the year.

At low tide, extensive volcanic rock formations emerge along the shoreline, creating natural pools that reveal a hidden undersea world. These temporary pools contain small marine creatures and offer unexpected discoveries for visitors willing to explore them closely.
