Guzet-Neige is a ski resort in Ustou with three sectors - Prat Mataou, Guzet, and Freychet - serving beginners through expert skiers. The slopes vary in difficulty, allowing visitors to find paths suited to their ability level.
The resort started in 1950 and underwent major development in the 1960s with the construction of ski lifts between Col de Latrappe and Prat Mataou. These early foundations allowed the place to grow into a proper skiing destination.
The resort draws visitors from Toulouse, Bordeaux, and western regions, creating a blend of local and traveling skiers who shape its character. This mix of people from different parts of France gives the place its own atmosphere throughout the season.
The resort has 130 snow cannons to maintain reliable conditions and offers over 350 forest chalets with direct slope access. Visitors can step straight out to ski without needing to travel far from their lodging.
The area sits within dense fir forests and features Europe's longest toboggan run. This combination of forested slopes and an extreme sledding course creates a memorable experience for winter visitors.
