Dragon Treasure Castle
Dragon Treasure Castle is a large stone structure in Upper Irisan, Baguio, built to resemble a medieval fortress. It has thick walls, towers, battlements with walkways, and open courtyards overlooking the surrounding mountain valleys.
Dragon Treasure Castle opened on February 10, 2025, making it one of the newest attractions in Baguio. It was built as a tribute to the old stone-building craft of the Cordillera region, a tradition kept alive in the highlands for centuries.
The stone walls were built using an old technique from the Cordillera mountains, where uncut natural stones are fitted tightly together without mortar. This method was originally used for rice terraces and mountain homes, and it remains a living part of the region's building tradition.
The paths and stairs are made of uneven stone and can be steep in places, so shoes with good grip are important. The site closes in the early evening when paths become hard to see, so arriving in the morning gives the most comfortable conditions for walking around.
Within the grounds there is a natural limestone formation called Kissing Rock that pre-dates the castle itself. It is the oldest feature on the site, even though the rest of the structure was built in 2025.
