Bell Church

Bell Church is a Chinese temple situated on elevated land that includes traditional pavilions, koi ponds, and guardian lions arranged around the main worship areas. The site spreads across multiple levels with small shrines and pagodas positioned on the upper slopes.

The site was founded in 1960 by Ng Pee from Guangzhou to serve the growing Chinese Filipino community in the Benguet region. It began as a Buddhist temple but was renamed to reflect its broader spiritual mission over time.

The temple serves as a gathering place where people of different faiths come to pray and reflect together, creating an open spiritual space. The guardian lions and carefully arranged shrines show how the location honors multiple religious traditions side by side.

The site is accessible daily and can be explored on foot, with pathways connecting the different levels throughout the grounds. Comfortable shoes are recommended since the terrain is elevated and you will need time to walk through the entire area.

The walls throughout the complex are decorated with Chinese calligraphy inscriptions that showcase traditional wisdom in artistic form. These carefully crafted writings guide visitors and add layers of meaning to the spiritual experience on the grounds.
