La Trinidad

La Trinidad is a mountain municipality located in the Cordilleras region at roughly 1,100 meters (3,600 feet) elevation. The town sits across approximately 70 square kilometers of highland terrain.

The area began as a trading post for the Ibaloi people during Spanish colonial times. It became an official municipality in 1950 through Philippine legislation.

The houses in the STOBOSA Hillside Homes area showcase large colorful murals painted across their walls. These decorated buildings reflect the creative spirit of residents and have become a defining visual element of the place.

The town operates a central vegetable market where local farmers sell fresh produce to merchants from across the Philippines. This trading hub is the economic center of the place and helps orient visitors to how the local farming community works.

The place is known for its extensive strawberry and rose fields that supply most of these crops to the entire Philippines. These plants thrive in the highland elevation and have become a major part of the local farming identity.
