La Ferme de Fanny

La Ferme de Fanny is a working farm in Montélimar where visitors can meet different animal species, including horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and geese, each in their own spaces. The grounds also feature gardens with aromatic and medicinal plants plus saffron cultivation areas.

The farm was founded in 2017 by Julie Joyeux as an educational project centered on sustainable farming methods. It grew from that initial vision into a place where visitors could experience agricultural practices directly.

The farm demonstrates how agriculture and animal care work in everyday practice, giving visitors a direct look at the activities involved in maintaining livestock and plants. People can observe feeding routines, daily care tasks, and the rhythm of farm life.

Visitors should prepare for outdoor conditions since much of the experience takes place outside among animals and plants. Bringing comfortable shoes and water is recommended, especially on warmer days.

The property grows certified organic saffron, a rare spice plant that stands out in this region where it is not commonly cultivated. This production reflects the farm's focus on less conventional crops alongside its other activities.
