Nocky Flitzer
The Nocky Flitzer is a summer bobsled run in Reichenau at Turracher Höhe that takes riders down a plastic track through pine forests. The route is roughly 1.6 kilometers long and winds through sharp curves, waves, spirals, and jumps while descending about 600 feet (185 meters).
The summer bobsled run was developed in recent decades as an addition to Turracher Höhe's tourism offerings. It came about as a modern attraction to bring visitors to the region year-round and make use of the alpine infrastructure.
The name Nocky Flitzer draws from local alpine culture and refers to swift descents down the mountain valleys. The site is used by families and groups who gather here to spend time together and breathe the mountain air, reflecting the relaxed pace of this region.
The run is equipped with safety bars, buffers, and continuous guidance rails to carry visitors of all ages safely downhill. Children as young as three can ride, but must be at least eight years old to ride alone and should be at least 4 feet 5 inches (1.35 meters) tall.
The run reaches top speeds of around 25 miles per hour (40 kilometers per hour) while offering views of a nearby mountain lake and distant peaks. This blend of adrenaline and alpine scenery makes each descent a distinctive experience.
