Camping Lagos de Somiedo

Camping Lagos de Somiedo is a campground in Somiedo Natural Park in northern Spain where visitors can stay in tents or recreational vehicles. The site sits on green meadows crossed by a small river and has a shop and bar on the grounds.

The campground opened three decades ago as one of the first rural tourism projects in Asturias. This early effort helped bring nature lovers to the area and support the local community.

The traditional Teito cabins here copy the building style that shepherds once used in this mountain region. They show visitors how people lived simply and close to nature in Somiedo.

The site provides heating and hot water for comfort, making stays pleasant even during cooler months. Visitors should come prepared for outdoor activities and mountain weather in this natural setting.

The grounds include a nature classroom where visitors can learn about local animals and plants during their stay. This learning space helps guests understand the environment around them more deeply while they camp.
