Terrazza Aperol, Rooftop bar terrace in central Milan, Italy.
Terrazza Aperol is a rooftop terrace on the second floor of Mercato del Duomo featuring bold orange décor and custom-designed tables. The space offers views across Milan's cathedral and the surrounding cityscape.
The bar opened in 2021 to mark the global rise of Aperol Spritz as a cocktail. What was once a traditional Italian aperitif evolved into an internationally recognized drink over recent decades.
The space celebrates the Italian aperitivo tradition by dedicating itself entirely to Aperol-based drinks in a contemporary social setting. You can experience this pre-dinner ritual that remains central to how Milanesi spend their early evenings.
The terrace sits on the second floor and is accessed through the Autogrill Duomo Store entrance. Arrival times matter since the space fills up during peak evening hours, especially on weekends.
The tables are shaped like drops of Aperol Spritz, creating a playful nod to the drink throughout the space. The floating bar counter reinforces this design concept, making the cocktail central to how the terrace looks and feels.
