Tootsies Orchid Lounge, Music venue and bar on Lower Broadway in Nashville, United States.
This three-story establishment features multiple stages where local musicians perform country music nightly, along with a rooftop terrace offering views of Broadway's entertainment district.
Originally named Mom's when purchased by Hattie Louise 'Tootsie' Bess in 1960, the venue became known as Tootsie's Orchid Lounge after its exterior was accidentally painted purple.
The venue served as an informal meeting place for legendary country artists including Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, and Kris Kristofferson, who often gathered here between performances at the nearby Ryman Auditorium.
Open daily from 9:30 AM to 3:00 AM, the establishment offers live music performances throughout the day and evening with no cover charge for most shows.
Tootsie Bess famously kept a cigar box filled with IOUs from struggling musicians and songwriters, demonstrating her support for artists who couldn't afford their bar tabs.
