Winelands Light Railway

This heritage railway recreation area features electric and steam engines including Dozer and Fritz that operate on 760 meters of track through green lawns and themed play areas designed for family entertainment.

The Winelands Light Railway was inaugurated on December 14, 2019, establishing a modern heritage railway experience that preserves traditional train operations with both steam and electric engines for educational and recreational purposes.

This family-centered attraction serves as a community gathering place where multiple generations can share train ride experiences while enjoying picnic activities in expansive outdoor spaces that encourage social interaction and cultural bonding.

The railway operates Tuesday through Sunday from 09:00 to 16:30 with entry fees of R90 for park access and one train ride or R145 for unlimited rides, accepting card payments at the entrance.

The park allows well-behaved dogs on leashes to join passengers on train rides while offering special steam engine smoke effects for gender reveal parties and other celebratory events throughout the year.
