Plaza Senayan, Shopping mall in Jakarta, Indonesia
Plaza Senayan is a shopping mall in the Senayan area of Jakarta, Indonesia. It houses a mix of international and local brands, restaurants, a bowling alley, and a billiard arena, and sits next to office towers, apartments, and a hotel.
Plaza Senayan first opened its doors in late 1995 with a soft launch, followed by a grand opening in April 1996. It was developed through a partnership between the Indonesian government and Kajima Corporation, and over the years it has grown into a key part of the Senayan Square district.
The Marygold clock in the main atrium is a familiar meeting point, and its chimes are part of the everyday sound of the mall. The Musical Fountain area often hosts events and pop-up food stalls, drawing families and young people who come to watch or take part.
The mall is easy to reach by taxi or shuttle bus from the airport and is next to Jalan Sudirman, a main road in the city. Visitors can enter from several sides, and the layout makes it simple to move between the shops, the dining areas, and the nearby office buildings.
The mall is part of a larger integrated area called Senayan Square, which brings together retail, offices, homes, and a hotel in one place. This means visitors can walk from the shops to the office towers or the apartments without going outside.
