Kompas Multimedia Towers

Kompas Multimedia Towers comprise three buildings reaching 92, 138, and 226 meters in height, occupying 1.2 hectares and forming a cohesive media complex in the Tanah Abang district. These structures contain 18, 27, and 52 floors respectively, with spaces designed for editorial offices, broadcasting studios, and technical operations.

Construction commenced in 2014, with the tallest tower completed and officially opened by Vice President Muhammad Jusuf Kalla in 2018. This opening marked an important expansion milestone for the media organization's headquarters in the city.

The towers serve as the operational center for multiple media organizations under the Kompas Gramedia Group, bringing together journalists, producers, and digital teams under one address. Visitors can sense the daily rhythm of news production and editorial work that shapes Indonesian media.

Located at Jalan Palmerah Selatan 21 in central Jakarta, the complex is accessible via public transportation and sits near major roads. Note that this is an active media workplace with restricted access, so inquire ahead if you wish to explore the public spaces or building surroundings.

During the opening ceremony, the word 'Kompas' was typed on a vintage typewriter to symbolize the connection between this modern media facility and traditional journalism practices. This symbolic gesture paid tribute to the newspaper's founding legacy and its long history in Indonesian media.
