Šostýn

Sostyn is a castle ruin located on elevated terrain near Kopřivnice with preserved stone walls and foundations visible throughout the site. The remains show how the fortress was originally arranged and provide views across the surrounding Moravian-Silesian landscape.

The castle was built in the second half of the 13th century to serve as a defensive structure for the surrounding region. It gradually declined over time and was eventually abandoned, leaving only the ruins that stand today.
