Sandstone formations create a network of towers, cliffs, and passages across 219 hectares in the Hruboskalsko protected area.
The area received official nature reserve status in 1998, becoming part of the Protected Landscape Area of Bohemian Paradise.
Local residents maintain traditional climbing practices on hundreds of sandstone towers, following specific rules to protect the rock surfaces.
Marked trails connect major points within the reserve, including the Mouse Hole rock fissure and the Hrubá Skála Castle viewing point.
The sandstone formations reach heights of 60 meters, creating natural corridors between massive rock walls throughout the reserve.
