Vosecká bouda

Vosecka Bouda is a mountain lodge at 1260 meters elevation in the western section of the Krkonose mountains. It provides overnight rooms, dining facilities, and serves as a gathering point for hikers and visitors exploring the surrounding peaks.

Originally built as a simple shelter for mountain travelers in the 1800s, the lodge was expanded and developed into a full inn and restaurant over subsequent decades. This growth reflected increasing mountain tourism in the Krkonose region.

The lodge keeps traditional mountain hospitality alive through local Czech food and the regional building style of the Krkonose area. Visitors experience the crafted culture of high-altitude communities in daily use.

The lodge operates with cash payments only, so visitors should bring sufficient money for meals and overnight stays. The high elevation means cool temperatures year-round, so warm clothing is advisable regardless of season.

The lodge sits within the first protection zone of Krkonose National Park and has long operated without modern payment methods or extensive renovations. This simplicity makes it a rare surviving example of unchanged mountain-era infrastructure in the region.
